Y&R Shocker: Lily Lets the Truth Slip—The Fallout Will Be Brutal!

On the March 3 episode of The Young and the Restless, Nate and Devon leaped on Lily when she admitted she’d had dinner with Damian. They didn’t like the idea of her sounding out the man and were afraid it might make him so angry that he’ll blow off Genoa City — and Amy. Lily thought she was making just one confession. But we heard another — more frightening — one.

The Lesser Sin

Lily (Christel Khalil) thought she was helping her cousin when she agreed to Damian’s (Jermaine Rivers) dinner invitation so that she could share inside information on his newfound half-brother with Nate (Sean Dominic). Nate didn’t want her help and thought that if Damian found out, he’d blame him and Amy (Valarie Pettiford). Nate wanted to keep the peace in his family, which is why he didn’t hear the more important thing Lily said. And what it means.

The Big Man

Lily said she asked Victor (Eric Braeden) to look into Damian’s background. Nate wasn’t happy about that either, but only because he didn’t want the digging to get back to Nate.

We’re more concerned. Because, unlike Nate, we know that, in Genoa City, all stories must be about Victor. Which means all roads must lead back to Victor. This means if Victor told Lily that he’d had Damian investigated, this is about him now. Damian is just a tool. This is Victor’s story.

Long Con

Devon (Bryton James) is now married to Victor’s daughter. And yet, he refuses to work for — much less worship — Victor. If Victor cared more about Abby (Melissa Ordway), he’d be much more upset.

The bigger issue is that Victor used and manipulated Lily. And she refused to be grateful to him. She actually had the gall to be upset! And after Victor was so good to her father! Does the child not understand that means she’s his forever? Devon and Lily need to be reminded about whom they owe their loyalty to. And Damian is the perfect man to bring them both to their knees. Now that Victor is in Damian’s story, we can only assume he’s been pulling the strings from the beginning. Victor wouldn’t have it any other way.
