Y&R SPOILERS – May 16, 2025: Amanda Returns… But Is She Really Here for Devon?

Young and the Restless Spoilers May 16 Amanda with the Soap Hub logo.Amanda.

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, May 16, welcome back the one and only Amanda Sinclair—and her Emmy-winning portrayer, Mishael Morgan. But what does she want? And from whom does she want it?

Amanda left town after she walked in on Devon (Bryton James) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) having floor and wall sex. Good for her! Amanda knew she could do better—and that she deserved better. So she can’t possibly be coming back for Devon, who is now married to Abby, presumably happily…off-screen.

Amanda is a top-notch lawyer, which suggests she’s back in Genoa City for business reasons. And there is only one business these days…who is Aristotle Dumas, and will he back Victor (Eric Braeden) or Billy (Jason Thomspon). (The thought that an international businessman would have no interest in either a piddly, local media company never occurs to either one of them.) But why are we thinking small? Why should Amanda be a representative of Aristotle Dumas? Why can’t she BE Aristotle Dumas?

Billy is determined to bring down Victor. This time—THIS time—he is totally going to succeed. And then he’ll have his revenge. For what, you may ask? Why, for all the things! Right now, it’s about Chancellor Industries. (Listen to our Soap Hub Says podcast where we wonder why Billy thinks his mother’s dead fling’s company is Billy’s birthright.)

But maybe it’s about Victor never approving of Billy and Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Maybe it’s about that demeaning nickname Victor gave him. Maybe it’s because Billy is tired of vague, whispered threats that he needs to keep his lips clamped to stop giggling over. But, whatever the reason, Billy is out for revenge! And that kind of bugs Sally (Courtney Hope). Billy is a real downer these days. Why is she with him again?

Here We Go Again

Nick (Joshua Morrow) has four exes currently on the canvas: Sharon (Sharon Case), Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), and Sally (Courtney Hope). Is that why it feels like he’s living in a daytime version of Groundhog Day?

It’s beginning to seem more and more to Nick like he is having the same conversation with the same people all the time. And he’s tired of it. Nick is in a rut, and he wants to break free. But who will he break from first? What do you suggest? Tell us in the comments!
