Y&R Viewers Can’t Unsee This Eerie Similarity Between Amanda and Michael

Both Amanda and Michael are lawyers, which means “fixers,” according to their respective clients, Cane and Victor.

Young and the Restless Michael and Amanda

Amanda shares something in common with Michael, something we didn’t expect to happen on The Young and the Restless. Fans noticed this uncanny similarity, and now they can’t stop talking about it.

Genoa City Law

Amanda (Mishael Morgan) has embraced her new job for Cane (Billy Flynn) with open arms. She’s his lawyer, but she does way more than that. Cane relied on her to hunker everyone down at his French estate. But that doesn’t mean he was going to open the doors of his villa to them.

He had everyone stay in their cramped rooms inside the train. Also, he made them run around like mice inside the hedge maze. Over on one soap opera message board, one fan noted that Amanda “sold her soul” to the devil. She immediately whipped out the paperwork when she spoke to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott).

“Wow, Amanda had some nerve trying to coerce Nikki into signing those papers. Had them all ready. She was also complicit in holding 2 innocent people hostage, jamming the phone lines, and hiding the fact that the tracks were cleared. Way to go, sounds like something old Hilary would do,” the original poster noted.

Doing Cane’s Bidding

Amanda is very calculated. She walked around with a tablet where the documents were conveniently stored. She also had control of the phone system. Amanda knew what was happening and allowed it to happen. She’s just as bad as Carter (Vicent Stalbas), who tragically killed himself.

One fan noticed an eerie similarity between Amanda and Michael (Christian Le Blanc), who used to work for Victor (Eric Braeden). “She’s pretty much on the same level as Michael when he worked for Victor. They’re both ‘fixers,'” the user wrote, to which another responded, “Didn’t think of Amanda and Michael, but you are so correct about both of them being fixers, and believe it or not, this happens in real life.”

Like Michael, Amanda has now become someone who will cross moral, ethical, and legal lines to protect her client. But how far will she go? She might reach her breaking point with Cane, until he comes calling the next time around.
