It was a day filled with games and drama in Genoa City.
The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, May 20 sees Claire masterfully shift the game in her favor, Audra set a trap, and Nick find himself caught between two women with very different intentions.
What Happened on The Young and the Restless?
At Crimson Lights, Cole (J. Eddie Peck) joined Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) after finally emerging from his illness. Nick joked that he thought they’d lost him for good, while Cole admitted the quarantine had been rough.
Victoria insisted he wasn’t going far—she wanted him to move into the tack house. That way, they could live together with Claire (Hayley Erin) and the rest of the kids. Cole was surprised but warmed to the idea, especially after Victoria explained that Claire wanted it, too. A kiss sealed the deal, and he agreed to move in.
Before they left, Victoria noticed Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick chatting and admitted to Cole that she believed Sharon still had feelings for her brother.
Nick’s Exes
Meanwhile, Sharon and Nick’s conversation at the counter took a turn when she asked if he ever thought about getting back together with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). He balked, but Sharon pointed out how drawn he seemed to be to Phyllis’s chaos.
Nick accused Sharon of being jealous, but Sharon insisted she was only worried about him being pulled into something toxic. She reminded him that he couldn’t fix Phyllis—and shouldn’t try. Nick reassured her that he had no interest in rekindling anything with Phyllis.
Claire Tries to be Perfect
At the ranch, Claire surprised Victor (Eric Braeden) with a chocolate croissant, and she told him that she and Kyle (Michael Mealor) had decided not to move in together yet.
She explained that she wanted to rebuild trust and prove herself to him. Victor appreciated her honesty.
He was moved when Claire asked for his help planning a birthday party for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). He agreed and told her how proud he was of her progress.
Wicked Games For Kyle and Audra
Over at Society, Kyle ran into Holden (Nathan Owens) and invited him for a drink. Audra (Zuleyka Silver) walked in and was visibly thrown to see them chatting. She traded barbs with Kyle before brushing off Holden as forgettable.
After Kyle left, Audra demanded to know why Holden was still in Genoa City. He claimed he wanted to look out for her, but she didn’t buy it. Their argument escalated, with Holden hinting that Audra still had unresolved feelings for Kyle. She told him to back off and stay out of her life.
Later, Claire met Kyle for a picnic and told him the party idea had gone over well with Victor. She even suggested he could impress Nikki, which might sway Victor.
As they kissed, Audra spied on them from behind a pillar. She sent Kyle a flirty thank-you text for standing up for her earlier, and Kyle smugly told Claire the plan with Audra was working perfectly. Claire wasn’t thrilled but agreed to keep playing the game.
Audra called Victor and reported that Kyle was falling into her trap, and she’d be needing that funding soon.
