Amen to that. The actress, who has played Traci Abbott off and on since 1982, is not only alive and well but up to her earlobes in frontburner story. Sure, it’s not the epic romance that we always want for her character — fiancé Alan has turned out to be a total psycho — but we’ve been happy nonetheless to see her portrayer basking in the spotlight.

Where things get sticky is in the area where real- and reel-life meet. Because, since Traci is set to marry a total nut job, we have every reason to fear that she will follow Alan’s twin brother to the grave.
