Talk about aging gracefully! Acknowledging her May 29 birthday, Tracey E. Bregman announced that she was more than ready for her closeup by sharing to social media a gorgeous selfie that put us all face to face with her. “So this is 62,” wrote the German-born Emmy winner who plays Lauren on The Young and the Restless. “Thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes yesterday; it meant so much to me!
“A few things as I reflect back,” she continued. “I am so grateful for every day and so grateful for everyone who is in my life. My family, my friends, my love who made me feel so filled with love.”
Bregman went on to say that the years had taught her, as she put it, “a few things.” For instance? “I wish I knew how young 40 was when I was there,” she laughed. The “50s were my biggest growth time. And the 60s have been all about letting go. What doesn’t work, what doesn’t serve and what doesn’t bring me joy… Let it go.”
What does delight the fan favorite, it sounds like, has never delighted her more. “I am loving continuing to work hard,” she said. “Loving working on all the projects that are coming out, some you know, some you don’t that I’m so proud to be a part of.
“I like to say, ‘If we cease to learn, we cease to grow,’ and I try to learn every day! For my birthday, I gave myself the gift of better sight with cataract surgery. I used to be happy with a new dress!” she added with a laugh. “My heart is so full.”
