9-1-1: Nashville continues to build its cast of characters ahead of its Fall 2025 premiere. Variety has announced that two names known in real-life Nashville, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley and singer LeAnn Rimes, will be joining the cast. They join already-announced NCIS: Los Angeles alum, Chris O'Donnell, who will lead the show, and Grey's Anatomy alum Jessica Capshaw. O'Donnell plays Captain Don Sharpe, a fire captain in charge of Nashville's busiest firehouse. Capshaw is set to play Captain Sharpe's wife in the spin-off. No word on who Williams-Paisley or Rimes will play.
The series will be the only 9-1-1 spin-off airing come the fall, after the conclusion of Fox's 9-1-1: Lone Star. It will join the mothership 9-1-1 this fall on ABC after being greenlit for a full season order. The series comes from 9-1-1 creator Ryan Murphy who will write and executive produce. Brad Falchuk will also executive produce. 9-1-1's Tim Minear, as well as 9-1-1: Lone Star showrunner Rashad Raisani also have their names as executive producers. O'Donnell and 9-1-1's Angela Bassett (who also serves as an executive producer on 9-1-1) will also be executive producers.
What Are LeAnn Rimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley Best Known For?
Williams-Paisley is most well-known for her roles on the sitcom According to Jim, as well as one of her earliest roles in Father of the Bride opposite Steve Martin and Diane Keaton. Most recently, Williams-Paisley has starred in The Christmas Chronicles 2 alongside Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. Williams-Paisley has also become synonymous with the philanthropic side of Nashville, working alongside her husband, country music singer, Brad Paisley (can we get a cameo from him on 9-1-1: Nashville please?) The pair run a non-profit called "The Store" to combat food insecurity in Middle Tennessee.
