Aaron Buckett is the first contestant “confirmed” to appear on Love Island this summer.

The London personal trainer is set to trade the gym for the iconic Majorcan villa next month.

A source told the UK Sun: “It’s a fact of life that girls go crazy for a tall lad and Aaron is a man mountain. He’s got great chat too.”

The source continued: “Aaron is in the mix for this year’s cast but execs are still finalising whether he’ll be in the opening line-up or as a tempting bombshell.”

The “confirmation” of the first islander comes as the first look of the Love Island villa has been revealed ahead of the upcoming new season coming this summer.

In aerial pictures obtained by The Sun, it appears that islanders will find themselves sitting around a very different looking fire pit than usual.

Crew working on the ITV2 reality show are working on a bright purple carpet runaway up to the fire pit for this year’s show.

From the photos, it appears that the floor surrounding the seating area and the wall behind have also been decorated in the same shade of purple.

Looking at the villa situated in the Majorcan villa, contestants will yet again enjoy a large rectangular pool, and it also appears to have a new outdoor kitchen and seating area.

The iconic fairy lights that illuminate the villa after dark have already been strung up, however, there is no sighting of a roof terrace for chats just yet.

The exact start date for this year’s series of Love Island is yet to be confirmed but ITV is already teasing its highly-anticipated return.

While the lineup for the show is yet to be announced, a host of names have already been linked to the series.
