Alvin Kamara Appears To React To Kellen Moore, Saints Report

The New Orleans Saints fired head coach Dennis Allen during the regular season, and they've been in the process of conducting a search for his replacement.

As one of the final NFL teams to still have a head coaching vacancy at this point in the offseason, it appears that they're on track to hire a coach participating in the Super Bowl.

According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the team is planning to do exactly that, as they're set to interview Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore after the Super Bowl.

Based on early reactions on social media, Saints fans appear to be happy about the potential for Moore to take over the team, but it appears that one of the team's stars doesn't share that same opinion.

Star running back Alvin Kamara posted a simple yawning emoji on Friday afternoon, a few hours after the initial reports of Moore's meeting with the team.

Kamara has been vocal about wanting interim head coach Darren Rizzi to take over on a permanent basis, and he's been supported by another star player in defensive lineman Cam Jordan.

During the 2024 season, Kamara signed a new deal with the Saints that will keep him in New Orleans through the 2026 campaign.

"I'm not worried about it. I'm here to play. I'm going to play. I'm going to perform. I don't got no illness. I don't got no mystery injury. I'm here. You know what I'm saying? I'm going to play, I'm going to perform, I'm going to be here with my teammates, coaches," he said back in September.

"Outside of all that, I think the most important thing, I mean, I love this city, right? I love the fans. I love these people. They support me. They've been supporting me for years now, right?

For me, in my head, it would be kind of selfish to not go out there. I mean, I interact with so many people every day. These people love me like I'm family. I feel the same way and vice versa."

We'll see if the Saints commit to hiring Moore after the Eagles participate in the Super Bowl - and if Kamara remains committed to the organization and the city if they don't hire his preferred head coach.
