The Russian forward scored his third career lacrosse goal to open the scoring against the Boston Bruins Tuesday night.
It's been more than four years since Andrei Svechnikov shocked the world with the NHL's first ever "lacrosse" goal, so the Canes' star winger had to make sure he reminded everyone who the king of the lacrosse move is.
In the second period of Tuesday night's game against the Boston Bruins. Svechnikov scored his third career lacrosse goal, scoring off the move in motion against Jeremy Swayman to open the scoring.
"I got behind the net and I've been saying I'm going to try that move," Svechnikov said during the second intermission on Bally Sports. "I wish it was in a more fun way."
It took a while before the goal was counted as it was in and out of the goal so fast that play continued on for a bit before the horn sounded, stopping play.
But Svechnikov knew it was in right away.
"No one realized it was a goal," Svechnikov said. "I guess it was just me"
Svechnikov is a player that hasn't been afraid to add some flare to his game so whether he's blasting pucks or scoring lacrosse goals, he knows how to put on a show.
The Russian winger is now up to 19 goals and 49 points on the season after returning from ACL surgery to start the year.
