Andy Cohen Reacts to Bronwyn Newport's Hair Change at the RHOSLC Season 5 Reunion

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 reunion is almost here and newcomer housewife, Bronwyn Newport, is ready for it. The mom of one might be a stranger to filming the reunions, but she came equipped with a fabulous outfit and beauty routine, including a dazzling hairstyle.

Bronwyn, of course, showed up wearing a super chic outfit (more on that later), but her hair and makeup slayed just as hard. Bronwyn did her makeup with a simple smokey eye, bold red lip, and styled her short hair into a super sleek bob with the help of hairstylist, Jacob Rozenberg. Although she rocked a short, chin-length bob throughout RHOSLC Season 5, she did reveal to reunion host, Andy Cohen, that she got a hair cut before the reunion. "I cut my hair, and I thought that was a big deal," she told him, as seen in the video above.

Andy was as complimentary as ever. "It looks great!" he told Bronwyn. He is right — it does look great.

He then had one very important question for her. "Have you always been a short hair gal?"

"No!" Bronwyn replied. "My hair's always been like, almost waist length my whole life, until last year I cut it all off and now that's what I'm doing, yeah."

Her RHOSLC cast members are also a fan of this hair length. "It suits you," Mary Cosby told Bronwyn.

Details on Bronwyn Newport's long hair

Although Bronwyn's lob looks so natural on her, she had long hair once upon a time. While Bronwyn has maintained her dark brown hair color over the years, she had long, cascading brown locks, that reached past her shoulders as recently as June 2023. This photo, taken from New York Fashion Week in 2019 is proof that Bronwyn's hair was once as long as she said it had been.

But, Bronwyn changed things for good in July 2023 when she chopped off her hair while on vacation in Poland. And it's stuck ever since.

Bronwyn paired her sleek bob at the reunion with a gorgeous pair of sparkly earrings by designer, Melissa Kaye. However, the focal point of her outfit was her larger-than-life, bright red, Carolina Herrera gown, paired with strappy heeled Valentino sandals, and a bright red clutch.

In an interview with The Daily Dish backstage, Bronwyn explained that the dress was originally made for Karlie Kloss for the 2021 Met Gala. "It was tailored down for me to wear/buy," she said. "[It's] not a loan."

Bronwyn also admitted to The Daily Dish that she was "overwhelmed" going into her first reunion. "I want it to go well, but I also know myself," she explained. "My biggest foe today is myself, keeping myself calm, keeping myself cool, and reminding myself what I want in a friendship. So I've got to be that person first right?"
