Even Andy Cohen mixes up his words sometimes. On Monday night’s (May 13) episode of the Watch What Happens Live: After Show, Bravo’s beloved late-night host accidentally commented on a virtual fan’s “cute lover.”
Cohen welcomed Below Deck stars Barbie Pascual and Paris Field into the Bravo Clubhouse, where they chatted all about Season 11. Pascual’s parents even made an appearance in the audience, assuring Cohen that their daughter has not besmirched the family name since joining the hit workplace reality show.
Following a high-energy episode of WWHL, the trio kept the good vibes going in the After Show, where Cohen welcomed virtual fans Jessica and Brendan from Chicago to ask Pascual their burning question.
“Hey, you two!” Cohen said as the duo appeared on the screen. “What a cute lover.”
The Real Housewives executive producer immediately caught his slip and covered his mouth as Pascual and Field broke down laughing. Jennifer, on the other hand, shot a confused look over to her pal.
“Well, hold on,” Cohen chimed back in. “I was going to say, ‘What a cute couple,’ and then I was going to say, ‘Are you lovers?’ But my words got — are you lovers or friends?”
Jessica smiled as she replied, “I know what you’re asking. We’re friends,” before Brendan cheekily added, “We love everybody.
It’s no secret that some of the best WWHL moments come from interactions between Cohen and Bravoholics. During a January episode of the long-running talk show, he awkwardly (albeit hilariously) shut down a Michigan-based fan’s request for a Real Housewives of Grand Rapids.
“Andy, you are my absolute idol. Hear me out, Real Housewives of Grand Rapids — RHOGR. It sounds pretty good. Call me,” she said, to which Cohen immediately responded, “We’re good.”
However, he appeared to have a slight change of heart after noticing the “beautiful” interior of her house. “Wow. OK. Well, maybe I’ll think about it,” he concluded.
Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
