Due to this, she has sped up the incubation period for a deadly disease, and she has taken the only anti-viral for it, making it impossible to save Chimney from the fateful disease. At least when it came to 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star, there was a mention of Chimney’s near-death experience from 9-1-1 season 1 in 9-1-1: Lone Star to indicate they were in the same universe.Based on Hawley’s words, The Rookie and 9-1-1 are not in the same universe officially. This doesn’t rule out the potential for the two to end up within the same world, as both shows have been renewed by ABC for 2025–2026, and they remain set in the same location. If the two production teams could make it work, the wish of those watching could come true.
