Ashlee Holmes "Can't Wait" to Do *This* After Son Cameron's First Day of School

   

Ashlee Holmes was just a teenager when viewers first met her on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 1, but she's now a mom to a second grader. Most recently, Jacqueline Laurita's only daughter sent her son, Cameron Malleo, off for his first day of school.

Cameron wore a light brown Pokémon hoodie sweatshirt, a pair of brown cargo pants, and some sneakers for his first day, according to photos shared by Ashlee on September 5. She was unfortunately feeling under the weather when her son, who she shares with ex-husband Pete Malleo, went off to school, but she wrote alongside the pics, "I can't wait to feel better so I can squeeze this handsome little human's face."

Cameron's grandmother, Jacqueline, also shared a Story of her FaceTiming her grandkid following his first day. Her dog, Diesel, even got in on the call.

"Diesel on Facetime with Cameron," Jacqueline captioned the Instagram Story.

Ashlee Holmes Celebrates Son Cameron's 8th Birthday

About a week before Cameron's school year started, he celebrated his eighth birthday. Ashlee marked the occasion by sharing a video of moments from her son's life.

"8 YEARS OLD. Blows my mind. Don’t blink! Time is a thief. Cameron and I both agree that it’s going too fast. All I have to say is that God truly blessed me with this incredible kid," she wrote in the caption of her post. "My son is my everything. He’s my why. He is my best friend."

She added that she doesn't "have to pretend to laugh at his jokes" because "he genuinely makes [her] belly laugh."

"He’s silly, creative, sweet, the most resilient, intelligent, inquisitive, gentle -yet wild, and weird in the best way. He is pure love. He is my heart walking around outside of my body. He’s my son. Another year I get to be this kid’s Mom. Another year I get to watch him grow," she continued. "Grateful is an understatement. Love you infinity Cameron Hendrix. Happy birthday!"

The RHONJ kid shares her one and only child, Cameron Hendrix Malleo, with her ex-husband, Pete Malleo. 

The exes welcomed their son on August 30, 2016. 

Is Ashlee Holmes still married?

Ashlee and Pete highlighted their relationship on RHONJ, and Pete even went engagement ring shopping with Jacqueline on Season 7. 

The couple got engaged in 2016 after about a year of dating. They welcomed their son in August of that year, and they got married in a Manhattan courthouse in 2018.

The spouses separated in 2020, and they announced their split in 2021.

In a Mother's Day post in 2022, Ashlee confirmed that her divorce had been finalized in April.

"This is going to be my first Mother’s Day as a single mom. My divorce was finalized last month while I was away visiting my family," she wrote on May 8, 2022. "At this time, I don’t care to say much more about it. All I can say for now is that I whole heartedly tried everything. — I don’t necessarily believe that everything happens for a reason, but I believe that everything that happens to us gives us the chance to become a stronger & better version of ourselves if we let life guide us that way. Regardless of what happens in the future, Cameron came from this chapter. For that, I will be forever grateful."
