The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Thursday, July 31 saw Li struggling to keep her secret, Will and Electra enjoying a drama-free day, and Brooke walking into the sunset with her new man.
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) reached her breaking point and walked away from Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). Being in Italy with him was too much and too hard. She informed him that since he’s engaged to Taylor (Rebecca Budig) that she’s going to run off with Nick (Jack Wagner) and pretend she never met him.
Ridge tried to reason with Brooke and begged her to at least stick around for the events. But, Brooke wasn’t having it. She was tired of Ridge pushing her aside. She was tired of watching him with another woman. Brooke wasn’t doing any of it anymore. If Ridge doesn’t want her anymore, fine, but she wasn’t going to wait around for him to change his mind anymore. Nick was offering her the world and she was finally ready to take him up on the offer.
Meanwhile, Eric (John McCook) demanded Nick leave immediately. Nick was not going anywhere, though. He accused Eric of setting up this trip to try to manipulate Ridge and Brooke, which angered Eric to no end (since he doesn’t like being called out on facts).
After Eric stormed off, Nick set his sights on Brooke and ran down to the terrace to get between her and Ridge. Obviously, Ridge didn’t like that very much and told Nick to leave. Instead, Nick offered Brooke his hand and asked her to choose. In the end, Brooke grabbed onto Nick and walked off with him into the sunset.
Will & Electra Cherished Each Other
Back in Los Angeles, Electra (Laneya Grace) dreamed of the day she would be the one in Italy. Will (Crew Morrow) wanted that for her too…and mentioned she deserved it more than Brooke since she’s a Forrester. He then suggested she model for the company. Electra laughed off the suggestion. She’s a designer, not a model, silly.
Later, they talked about Luna and how grateful they are to never have to deal with her again. They lived through enough of her trauma and troubles and chaos. There were glad everyone (aside from Luna) made it out alive. Electra did feel bad that Luna lost her life but Will did not. Luna made her bed and now she gets to lie in it…forever.
Li Nearly Gave Away Her Secret
Over at Il Giardino, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) begged Li (Naomi Matsuda) for the details on Luna’s (Lisa Yamada) final resting place. She needed to get closure and have a place to find solace over Luna’s loss. The more evasive Li became, the more Sheila pushed. Li became so frustrated she blurted out that there was “nothing Sheila could do for Luna anymore.” As you can imagine, alarm bells rang after hearing that strange and curious wording.
Sheila reminded Li that they are both Luna’s grandmothers and they each deserve a change to say goodbye to her. Li balked and demanded Sheila back off. Then, she stormed off without even grabbing her takeout. The whole confrontation made her lose her appetite, she claimed.
Deacon (Sean Kanan) saw her run off and asked his wife what that was all about. Sheila updated Deacon about Li’s coldness and refusal to answer any of her questions. Deacon wondered if it was just guilt and grief but Sheila wasn’t so sure. It felt like more. Sheila can’t put her finger on it, but her gut is telling her something is very, very off with Li. While she can understand how everyone feels about Luna and her murder-minded ways, Sheila loved her and just wants to ensure she’s resting in peace.
As for Luna, she remained unconscious. Li took to her bedside and begged her to open her eyes. She reminisced about caring for Luna as a child when she came for visits. She used to be such a sweet child and Li was sure they could reverse the evil, if only she would come back to her.
