Newly engaged Bachelor couple Grant Ellis and Juliana Pasquarosa are planning their lives together. He proposed during the season finale that aired on Monday, March 24th. Grant Ellis Addresses Breaking Up With Litia Garr
Grant and Juliana’s engagement has been overshadowed by his breakup with runner-up Litia Garr. According to Litia, Grant indicated to her the night before the final rose ceremony that she was his future wife. However, Grant denies leading Litia on.
He recently explained when exactly he knew that he was going to propose to Juliana. He elaborated on his decision in a joint interview with Us Weekly.
“I started to develop that distance a little bit after hometowns and put together, whose family I would fit with more, the environment that I wanted, the vibe that I wanted and the relationship that I wanted,” Grant told the outlet about when he really chose Juliana.
He added that the reason he seemed ‘torn’ between the two was because he had to break up with Litia. “It’s just working up the courage and strength to have to make a decision after you’ve built such a strong relationship with somebody and then you have to let ’em down,” he said about the difficult moment.
Bachelor Couple Grant & Juliana Want Long Engagement
Now that Grant and Juliana’s relationship is public knowledge, they can expect to face major scrutiny from Bachelor Nation fans. Fans have a tendency to start breakup rumors if the couples on the show don’t marry immediately.
Grant and Juliana have already said that they aren’t rushing into marriage. They want to enjoy their engagement and get to know each other better outside of the show.
“We are coming down from such a crazy high right now. I don’t wanna just try and keep it going — I really want to plateau a bit and just live normally for a minute and then we can start planning and have fun and do all those things,” Juliana explained to Us Weekly.
But the couple may not wait too long. They’ve both expressed interest in starting a family soon.
Why They Chose Boston Over Houston
The first step in Juliana and Grant’s immediate future plans is moving in together. He is based in Houston, Texas, and she considers Boston, Massachusetts her home base. That means one of them is going to have to move.
Juliana said that deciding where to live “wasn’t a really tough conversation.” Grant revealed that he plans to keep his place in Houston but find an apartment with Juliana in Boston. They will be a bi-coastal for now.
For Grant, moving to Boston was a no-brainer. “With Jules, her family is her lifeline. That’s what makes her her,” he said. “We are gonna [go] where it makes her happy and I’m going to adjust because I just want to see her happy,” Grant added about their living arrangement.
The couple haven’t revealed a timeline of when Grant will make the move. They are basking in their engagement for now.
