April Kirkwood is back and looking for love on the next season of ABC's "Bachelor in Paradise."
"Bachelor in Paradise" is a popular spinoff of the network's flagship reality dating show "The Bachelor" on its 10th season.
The casts from all four shows will mingle on the same set, according to ABC's new promotional content after Grant Ellis' finale. "Golden" men and women will be hitting the beach alongside all your 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' favorites from seasons past," ABC said.
The ABC spinoff is returning to screens almost two years after the last season in 2023.
Who is April Kirkwood on 'Bachelor in Paradise'
Kirkwood debuted on the first season of "The Golden Bachelor" in 2023, where she quickly became known for her chicken dancing amongst fans of "The Bachelor."
"The Golden Bachelor" is like "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," but with a focus on finding love for a "golden-aged" bachelor with 60- to 75-year-old contestants.
The Ohio native moved to Port St. Lucie over 20 years ago. She worked as a mental health counselor and lived with her partner, Ralph Rendano, who died in 2021.
Nearly two years later, after her reality TV debut on "The Bachelor" franchise, Kirkwood sold her home in Port St. Lucie, tried online dating and realized she was not finding love on the Treasure Coast. When she packed up her home, she headed to Nyack, New York, to be closer to her children and grandchildren.
She's loved living in Florida, specifically Port St. Lucie, but she's felt she's stopped growing and had to make the move to not stay stagnant in life, Kirkwood told TCPalm in January.
