Our favorite Port Charles pals just couldn't get their mother and child act down this week, no matter how hard they tried, as General Hospital parental problems took over.
Liesl waxed nostalgic about her Britta, Britt longed for her Mutter, Nina lost her daughter's love, Willow begged and pleaded to see her kids, Rocco perplexed Lulu, Carly was left in the dark, Anna played Grandma to curious college students, Elizabeth was lonely, and Alexis was at a loss. Let's start breaking it all down now.
Does Dr O really know?

Jason is sure that Liesl has no idea that her Britta is really alive and kinda-sorta well living at a resort in Croatia. After all, she really did seem to still be in mourning when he spoke to her. Then, there was Britt, who said good night to her Mutter before turning in — and after injecting herself with something mysterious that has fans scratching their heads.
What is Bitt doing, and how does she seem fine when she was dying from Huntington's Disease before Heather's poison hook got her? Is she working on a cure for Huntington's Disease and using herself as the proverbial guinea pig? If that is what GH has happening here, that's a mistake, and as big a mistake as Days of our Lives finding the cure for sepsis. Both of these ailments are very real and very fatal. Finding fake cures for real diseases is something soaps really need to stay away from, but we digress.
In Liesl's world, it seems that Britt really is dead. In Jason's world, she is very much alive, and he's on his way to Croatia to prove it. We expect he will run into some familiar faces there eventually, including Josslyn, Jack, Dante, Emma, Gio, and maybe even Carly. Will Liesl also hop a plane to find her daughter? Or will she have more pressing matters at home, namely her niece and grand niece, because woo-boy, did they have a week.
Blame it on your mother

It doesn't matter what Willow did because she either didn't do it or someone else made her do it, and it's not her fault. She must watch a lot of current political news to keep up with Drew's career, and is learning from the best "I'm the rubber and you're the glue" guy there is.
Last week, everything was Nina's fault. This week, it is Nina and Drew's fault. And Michael's. Don't forget about Michael. He is the villain, too, despite Willow being perfectly fine with Drew setting him up to look like an opioid addict. That was fine because it was to help get her kids back. But two consenting unmarried adults having sex is not fine. Not in Willow's world. But being married and having sex on the playroom floor with your husband's uncle the night his daughter's mother died is perfectly acceptable and not at all her fault. Drew and Nina made her do it.
Now, we do not understand why Nina has to hire a lawyer for Willow behind her back when Willow has plenty of her own cash, so no thanks for another plot point that could cost Nina her kids' love for no reason. Enough of that already.
I promise I'll be good now

So yeah, Willow is blameless but still quite unstable and should probably spend some time in Shadybrook or Ferncliff at this point. With Kevin. We definitely need him to return from beyond some gates in the DC metro area to deal with Willow. Maybe Drew can find him on his next trip to play congressman. It's been a long time coming for this hot mess of a cult member.
Willow will be a good girl now, in Willow's mind, so of course, she should be allowed to see her children. And to be honest, we are on the fence here. While Willow is definitely not stable enough to parent right now, would it really be that horrible for Michael to agree to a brief supervised visit so Willow could spend 20 minutes with her kids, who clearly want to see her? If she starts to lose it, Michael could easily end the visit. Yes, despite our better judgment, we begrudgingly felt bad for Willow.
Where Willow goes next is anyone's guess, but something tells us that Drew is not finished blackmailing and emotionally torturing people. You might be up next, Willow. Good luck.
Confused Carly and Spy Girl Joss

Someone finally said it to Josslyn's face. She looks absolutely ridiculous with Vaughn. Carly might not have used those words, but we know she wanted to. Or at least, we wanted her to. Instead, she was as gentle as possible (for Carly) when she told her daughter that Vaughn was just a little too old for her. (Ya think?) Carly cares. Carly is concerned. And Carly has no idea what is going on with her little girl. And frankly, neither do we.
So, Josslyn and Vaughn are headed to Croatia posing as newlyweds, when, as Carly wanted to say, they look ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS together. How does Jack think this is a good idea, and that anyone in their right mind would believe these two are married? While we wouldn't say that Vaughn looks old enough to be her father, he definitely doesn't look young enough to be her husband. And part of the problem is that Joss could still pass for a high school student if she tried. So Vaughn and Joss? Just no. No, no, no, no, no. We are still waiting for General Hospital to cut its losses with this insane idea to make Joss a WSB agent when the perfect heir apparent is RIGHT THERE.
The real WSB legacy

That's right. We're talking about Emma Scorpio Drake, who is the same age as Joss and actually has an age-appropriate love interest. And who also spent early adolescence accompanying her super spy grandparents on international missions. Now, Grandma Anna is terrified for young adult Emma because she knows she is getting herself in over her head with Professor Dalton, but maybe Anna should give her granddaughter the benefit of the doubt.
Emma is so much more of an appropriate WSB legacy agent than Josslyn, who we guess is not a legacy anything because neither of her parents was ever crime fighters. Emma might not know what she is getting herself into, but we feel she can handle herself. Plus, she looks good with Gio, and we want them both to live with Anna forever because they are so darn cute. However, if Anna puts down any spy rules, Emma needs to "Listen to your grandmutter."
Lonely Elizabeth

It finally hit us this week. Poor Elizabeth really is all alone. The best mother on soaps, who raised three young boys to young, well-adjusted men all on her own, has an empty nest. But now, she also has Willow. We are not sure whether to be happy for her or not. At least she has some company, but her company is Willow.
What Liz really needs are her boys. How hard would it be to reintroduce Cam and Jake to the young adult set? Josslyn and Cam were quite an item. Jake and Danny were rival brothers. Jason needs his other son back. Elizabeth needs at least two of her three, if not all of them. So, again, why is Elizabeth all alone? Make it make sense.
Davis Girl drama

Alexis really is a bad mother. Yes, she loves her children fiercely, and her parenting skills might have taken a nose dive after losing Sam last fall, but Molly really could have done better. For that matter, so could Kristina. Maybe if Alexis didn't spend Kristina's entire life coddling her, she wouldn't be the hot mess she is today.
Ric is absolutely right when he says she favors Kristina over Molly. Rather than getting Kristina the help she needs and being honest with Molly, she is allowing Kristina to hurt Molly even more by sabotaging her burgeoning relationship with Cody. Not only is she allowing it, but she is in cahoots with Kristina to get the job done as she cheers her on. Gotta stop the blackmail by nefarious means rather than just being a proper parent and insisting your child take care of her mental health.
At least she's a good Grandma and got Scout out of that church as soon as Willow asked, "Did you sleep with my MUTTER?" (as Liesl later put it when talking to Jason).
Till next week, Scoopers, when half of Port Charles descends on Croatia to learn that The Britch is most certainly back.
