There are offseason trades on the horizon for the Chicago Bears.
Bears general manager Ryan Poles has done an admirable job of injecting Chicago's roster with talent, which gives Poles the license to trade a player or two for draft capital this summer.

In deciding who to place on the trading block, Poles will look at roster areas where the Bears have sufficient depth. One of these positions is offensive tackle, which reportedly could mean that Larry Borom's time in Chicago is running out.
Borom, a fifth-round pick in 2021 by the Bears, has been a serviceable swing tackle for Chicago. However, with Borom's contract becoming more expensive, Poles might decide to move him in light of the Bears' newfound options at tackle.
Chicago selected tackle Kiran Amegadjie out of Yale with the No. 75 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and Amegadjie is widely expected to make the team.
The Athletic's Kevin Fishbain recently suggested that the Bears might opt to trade Borom and use Amegadjie and Matt Pryor as backup tackles, especially since Pryor is making less money than Borom but provides similar value.
"In the final year of his rookie contract, Borom earned the "proven performance escalator" for his playing time, which means he’ll make more than $3 million this season," Fishbain said.
"Though the Bears can certainly fit that contract under the cap, would they rather roll with Pryor, who has similar versatility and is making just north of $1 million, and Amegadjie as the backup tackles? It’ll be one of the roster battles to watch this summer. Former Seattle Seahawk Jake Curhan will also be in the mix for a swing tackle spot. I don’t know necessarily who is the “best” of those tackles, but Borom costs the most, which could hinder his chances to be a Bear if the others play well in July and August."
There will be fierce position battles at tackle during Bears training camp, and things could get even crazier if Chicago acquires David Bakhtiari, the growing possibility of which has been reported.
