Bengals QB Joe Burrow teases recreating infamous touchdown celebration against Steelers this season

Passes and handoffs from Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow have led to plenty of touchdown celebrations carried out by his teammates. Very rarely do we see Burrow himself perform a specific celebration.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow teases recreating infamous touchdown celebration against Steelers this season

Burrow has become well known for his pro-taunting stance despite the NFL's clear opposition, but outside of getting hype with his teammates in the end zone, he's never been one for planning celebrations and unveiling them on the field.

There might be an exception to the rule this upcoming season.

During Burrow's appearance on Pardon My Take, Randy Moss' "fake moon" celebration when he pretended to pull his pants down in front of the Green Bay Packers crowd came up in the conversation.

It's a moment Burrow remembers fondly, and would perhaps like to revive.

"Maybe if I get a rushing touchdown this year, I might bring back the the fake moon," Burrow said.

Burrow clarified it has to be during a road game, and PFT Commenter responded by asking him to do it against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

That got the "OK" from Burrow.

To be completely honest, if Burrow turns his back to a crowd of Terrible Towel-waving fans, bends over, and mimics dropping his pants for all of Pittsburgh to see, he should get extra security leaving Acrisure Stadium. That is not going to go over well with Steelers fans, or TJ Watt for that matter.

That's why it would be so perfect. Doing it at home would be a waste. He'd be mooning his own fans.

Burrow doesn't often rush for touchdowns outside of sneaking in right next to the goal line. He's got 11 touchdowns on the ground for his career thus far, and only four of them came from outside the five-yard line.

One of those four did come against Pittsburgh. He scrambled for eight yards into the end zone during the Bengals' 41-10 shellacking over the Steelers in 2021.

But that was in Cincinnati. Burrow's going to have to do it in Pittsburgh this time if we're to see Moss' celebration reborn.
