When the NFLPA’s annual report card came out from the 2023 season, the Bengals were given an F- in treatment of facilities, food/cafeteria, and nutritionist/dietician. They were also given a D+ for their locker room.

That’s prompted renovations to the locker room, on top of already adding to the training room. The renovations and additions are making a huge impression on the players, including rookie defensive tackle Kris Jenkins.

Jenkins recently commented about the technology and resources players could use to recover from training sessions.

“I’ve never even seen cryotherapy or red light therapy, but we have that here,” Jenkins said in a recent appearance on Inside the Jungle. “It’s insane here. The technology is lit. I think it helps you heal faster. I’m no trainer myself, but every time I do that, I’ve woken up feeling 10 times better, so it works.”

Jenkins appeared in all of Michigan’s 29 games over the last two seasons before the Bengals drafted him 49th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Michigan’s facility was ranked No. 16 on 247 Sports’ College Football’s Top 25 Most Lavish Facilities in 2023. It includes three therapeutic pools, two treadmills in water booths, and antigravity treadmills for rehab, conditioning, and training.

One thing it doesn’t include, that the Bengals do have, is red light therapy. That’s another testament to how the Bengals have modernized this decade.
