Amanda Holden has revealed a bold outfit choice she made due to the hot weather. The Britain's Got Talent judge spoke to Good Morning Britain about a recent parents' evening she had attended.
She said she did her daughter’s Zoom parents’ evening in her swimming costume with a glass of wine due to a spell of hot weather. The 54-year-old said her child’s teachers told her she was “jammy” as they were stuck at school and the star was enjoying the heatwave.
Amanda shares two children she shares with husband Chris Hughes. She married the record producer in 2008 after the two met in Los Angeles in 2003. Their children are daughters Alexa, born in 2006 and Hollie, born in 2012.The two struck up a relationship the following year after reuniting during London Fashion Week in 2004. They had a Christmas-themed wedding due to the December date, and had imitation snow and ivy all around the church.
On GMB, Amanda explained her outfit choice: "Well, instead of a bikini, I did cover up and wear a swimming costume, can I say. But it was so hot, and I balanced the iPad here (at her neckline), so they had just this view.
"But every teacher was like, ‘oh, you’re so jammy’, because they were all stuck in a stock cupboard somewhere. What I didn’t say is that I had a sneaky little rose under my deck chair as well to get through it."The talent judge has had a busy couple of weeks as as the BGT live shows got well underway. Amanda revealed that she wanted a group such as the Post Office Choir to win this year’s edition of talent show Britain’s Got Talent. The choir are a group impacted by the Horizon scandal, which saw hundreds of sub-postmasters wrongly convicted of theft, fraud and false accounting,
She added: “You know me, I’m not one for sitting on the fence, and I’ve always said that I would love our Britain’s Got Talent winner this year to be a group of people.
“Because it would be amazing for the money to be divvied out amongst all of them, and for the joy to be spread, and to be at the Royal Variety.
"I think for a choir or a large group of people, would be amazing.” Britain’s Got Talent viewers will have to wait to see the next round of talent on display."
The show will return on ITV and ITVX on Sunday at 7pm, rather than its usual Saturday spot, due to the FA Cup final. However, this gives Amanda time to celebrate a special occasion she announced this morning, May 15.
The mum-of-two announced that "Heart is now the UK's official #1 radio brand" live on air, as the studio erupted in applause and cheers. Amanda added that the radio channel had a "record-breaking" 13.4m people listening to Heart every single week.
Speaking about the breakfast show she has been a part of for over five years, the presenter said: "Our Breakfast show has a record 4.3m listeners."
