Biggest Real Housewives Gossip of the Week (May 23, 2025)

Dolores Catania on WWHL

With so many franchises, and so many stars that bring the drama even on hiatus, it can be hard to keep up with the hottest Real Housewives gossip each week. But don’t worry, we here at Reality Tea have got you covered! Here are the top Real Housewives news stories and rumors from the week of May 23, 2025.

Dolores Catania is rumored to move from RHONJ to Real Housewives of Rhode Island

Could Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania switch franchises? That’s a rumor that popped up this week. The Deux/U podcast claims that Dolores is jumping ship to the newest Housewives series, Real Housewives of Rhode Island. The anonymous insider explained, “I had heard from a couple people now that Dolores Catania from Housewives of New Jersey is moving to Rhode Island and is going to be part of the Rhode Island cast.” Then the source wondered, “what does that mean for New Jersey?”

Andy Cohen said the rumors were “a little overstated.” But he didn’t completely shut down the idea of an established Real Housewives joining the new series. Instead, he said he’s open to the idea. But “It’s really about who’s in Rhode Island.” Andy also said that the upcoming RHORI gives “early Jersey vibes” and is “Italian with a capital I.” There’s plenty of RHORI cast rumors, but nothing’s confirmed yet.

One thing’s for sure. It’s time for Bravo to make a decision on the fate of RHONJ.

It was a big week for Erika Jayne! On Thursday May 22, the internet was abuzz with rumors that Erika hooked up with Summer House star Jesse Solomon after Watch What Happens Live. An insider told Page Six that “something definitely happened” between Jesse and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. After this alleged hookup, Erika and Jesse were reunited at Upfronts. Another source claimed there was “playful flirting” between them at this event.

But that surprise alleged hookup isn’t the only reason Erika made headlines this week. She’s still embroiled in a few legal battles. To start, she might be headed for a jury trial with a lawsuit that was filed against her in July 2021 by estranged husband Tom Girardi’s former trustee.

Additionally, Marco Morante, the designer of Marco Marco, dealt Erika another legal blow. Marco and his partner Christopher Psaila countersued Erika after she accused them of overcharging her Amex card. Erika’s motion to dismiss the case was denied. Then her lawyer missed a court date to try and have the case tossed out. That lead to Marco filing a new motion for default. This could end up costing her a $300,000 default judgment. Yikes!

RHOA’s Porsha Williams calls out Shamea Morton’s treatment of her mom Diane

An Instagram message from Porsha Williams to Shamea Morton

The fallout continues between Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars and former friends Porsha Williams and Shamea Morton. Fans who are rooting for the ladies to work things out got a dash of hope earlier this week. Porsha posted a birthday tribute to Shamea on Instagram. A few days later, however, Porsha returned to the app to slam Shamea.

Before the latest RHOA Season 16 episode aired, Portia wrote, “Ima just say this. I’m watching the new episode @shameamorton. Now don’t take it there don’t say SH*T about Diane Williams. I’ve been keeping it cute and quiet and you can do and say what you want in me, but hear me when I say WRONG ROAD!” She continued, “Talking about well your mom thought my mom was a friend. Knowing Gotdamn well what she did to my mom was highly egregious! Don’t do it keep playing victim and that BS. Don’t f with my MOM!” Do viewers agree that Shamea’s talk with Ms. Diane was an example of her being a bad friend to Porsha?

Porsha quickly deleted the post. However, it adds even more insight into, and raises more questions about, the fallout between these former besties. And their moms!

Mia Thornton issues (and then deletes) fiery warning to former RHOP co-stars

Mia Thornton left Real Housewives of Potomac, but she’s still stirring up drama. This week, Mia took to her Instagram to issue a stern warning to her former RHOP co-stars. “Let this be a gentle reminder,” she wrote, “Freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom of consequences.”

Mia continued, “Making false, damaging statements about someone is called defamation, and it’s not protected by the law. Before you SPEAK on my name publicly, make sure it’s the TRUTH. Or make sure you’re ready to prove it in court. I’m no longer allowing anyone to play on my reputation.” She added, “Take me out of the group chat. I don’t want to play in your sandbox anymore.”

It’s not exactly clear what caused Mia to post this warning. She was upset about the backlash in Season 9, and left the reunion early. That was after Gizelle Bryant dragged her for using her child’s paternity as a storyline. After Mia announced she’s leaving Real Housewives of Potomac, Gizelle threw shade and said her “time of lying” was over. Regardless if that’s what made Mia upset, she deleted the post. Hopefully, that means she’s not actually considering legal action against her former co-stars.
