Bills ‘99-Percent’ Path to Title Perfectly Clear at Thanksgiving

The Buffalo Bills are in the driver's seat in the AFC East heading into Week 12. According to ESPN analytics, the Bills have a greater-than 99-percent chance of winning the division.

By the end of the upcoming week, there's even a chance that they will already have it locked up.

The Miami Dolphins, who are currently in second place in the division, are set to play on Thanksgiving day. If the Dolphins lose to the Green Bay Packers, who are favored in the matchup, then the Bills will just have to win against the San Francisco 49ers on "Sunday Night Football" to clinch the division.

Although the Packers are favored on Thursday, the Dolphins enter the matchup on a three-game win streak, so it's certainly not a guarantee that Buffalo will be able to secure the division on Sunday.

Regardless, if the Bills are able to win on Sunday, they will only need to win one more game in the final five weeks to secure the AFC East for the fifth-straight year.

On Sunday, Buffalo will be facing a 5-6 49ers team that has failed to live up to expectations so far this season. However, with quarterback Brock Purdy potentially returning from a shoulder injury, San Francisco will likely be motivated in a must-win primetime scenario.

To be perfectly clear … Although winning their division would be a great accomplishment for Buffalo, the team likely has their eyes set on the top seed in the AFC, as they're just one game behind the Kansas City Chiefs after their big win two weeks ago.
