The Buffalo Bills will look to win their second-straight game on Sunday when they host the New England Patriots. The Bills are coming off one of their biggest wins of the season against the 12-2 Detroit Lions in Week 15.
Buffalo was able to pull off the upset largely due to the play of quarterback Josh Allen, who has continued to separate himself from the rest of the race for the league MVP in recent weeks.
Following the win, Allen was honored for his performance as he was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week. This is Allen's third time receiving the honor this season, tying him with Lamar Jackson for the second-most in the league behind running back Saquan Barkley.
Allen finished the game on Sunday with 362 passing yards, 68 rushing yards, two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns
After his big performance, Allen gave a lot of the credit to his teammates.
"The mindset we had this week was win every play," Allen said. "Whatever the play was, find a way to execute it at the highest level. We were just focused on the next one and guys made really good plays in there."
On Sunday, Allen became the first player in league history with at least two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in consecutive games. In the prior week against the Los Angeles Rams, Allen accomplished another never-before-seen feat, becoming the first player in league history to throw for three touchdowns and run for three touchdowns in the same game.
