Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman didn't have the best of times in his rookie season. An injury saw him play 13 games, and his poor form didn't allow him to impact the offense as the franchise wanted.
Keon would finish his rookie year with 556 yards and four touchdowns from just 29 receptions, and had three catches for 22 yards in Buffalo's three playoff games.
But that was Year 1, and with another full offseason to develop chemistry with Josh Allen, there is hope that Keon can mature into a more consistent weapon in Year 2.
There will be no sophomore slump, more so, a big uptick in performance. Well, that's the hope anyway.
And according to Mike Clay's 2025 player projections for ESPN, Coleman will have a bounce-back season in Year 2.
Coleman's 2025 projection: 54 receptions, 893 yards, eight touchdowns.
Coleman nearly doubled his reception total from last year, doubled his touchdown numbers, and has 337 more receiving yards.
What's more, based on Clay's numbers, Coleman leads the Bills in touchdowns and yards, and finishes second in receptions behind Khalil Shakir. That'll do.
If Clay's projection comes to fruition, we think the Bills' front office would be quite content with Keon's progression. With a handful of receiving options, adequate opportunities could be hard to come by, but Coleman looks to take them with both hands.
Now, this is just a projection based on what "might" happen, but as we know, things rarely go smoothly throughout an NFL season, so we can take this with a grain of salt.
But for Coleman, it is certainly a good stat line to aim for in Year 2.
