Bills QB Josh Allen Makes Offseason Announcement

While the Buffalo Bills' playoff journey ended in a heartbreaking 32-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, quarterback Josh Allen gave the franchise something to celebrate after winning the AP's Most Valuable Player Award for the first time in his career.

Bills QB Josh Allen Makes Offseason Announcement

Speaking to Pro Football Talk Live at the NFL Combine earlier this week, Bills general manager Brandon Beane was asked if the esteemed honor put more pressure on Allen to translate that honor into postseason success.

“I don’t think it’s more,” Beane said. “When you live in Buffalo and you know the history of Buffalo, the four Super Bowls, and how many times we’ve come close. Every time that we come up short like we unfortunately, did again this year, I think the chip just gets bigger on Josh.

"Who doesn’t appreciate being the MVP? But Josh Allen wakes up every day to hold the Super Bowl trophy.”

After the Bills were eliminated from the playoffs, Allen, who banged up his right wrist against the Chiefs, skipped out from participating in the Pro Bowl.

"Get away, let the body heal," Allen said of his immediate offseason plans. "Just trying to make sure that my body's in as good as condition as it can be given maybe a week or two and just kind of getting back to work."

A month later, the 28-year-old announced he's preparing to compete in his second-favorite sport this summer. Allen posted on Feb. 28, "Headed back to Tahoe for the @acchampionship - See y’all on the course!"

Allen competed in the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship last summer and finished in a tie for 20th place, an improvement from his 37th place finish in 2023.
