The Buffalo Bills' offense last season was one of the best in football, with Joe Brady's "everybody eats" mantra fueling what was Josh Allen's best-ever season, which culminated with an MVP trophy.
But something was missing from the offense-a genuine No. 1 receiver after Stefon Diggs left for the Houston Texans. Still, the unit fared well in 2024 without him, but more is needed.
Josh Palmer was signed in free agency to a three-year deal to bring some much-needed speed to the offense and give Allen a home-run threat...but what if the Bills add another?
In giving a piece of advice to each of the 32 NFL teams, Bleacher Report thinks Buffalo should look to draft Utah State speed merchant Jalen Royals.
"Draft a speedy deep threat like Jalen Royals and watch Josh Allen go from a dynamic MVP quarterback to a record-breaking passer in an electric offense," Bleacher Report writes.
Boasting 4.42 speed, Royals has home-run ability written all over him.
A smooth athlete, Royals in 2023 posted 1,080 yards and 15 touchdowns before 834 yards and six touchdowns in seven games last year before a foot injury ended his season, so health is something to watch.
Seen as a dynamic play-maker, inserting Royals into a Bills offense with Khalil Shakir, Curtis Samuel, Palmer, Keon Coleman, Dawson Knox, and Dalton Kincaid might mean his opportunities are limited, but Brady will surely have a plan to use Royals as more than a gadget guy.
It's not likely to be a high pick, but Royals appears to offer some nice value in the later rounds and give Allen some serious speed on the outside.
