Boston Bruins Make Several Roster Cuts

The Boston Bruins have made an array of roster cuts.

Now that the Boston Bruins are deeper into the pre-season, they have made several cuts to their training camp roster.

Fabian Lysell is the arguably the most notable name who has been sent back down to the Providence Bruins, which we here at The Hockey News Bruins discussed earlier. However, Lysell is not the only Bruins prospect who was eyeing an NHL job that was cut.

Georgii Merkulov is another interesting Bruins prospect who has been sent down to the Providence. After posting 30 goals and 65 points in 67 games for Providence last season, he was viewed as a potential candidate to make Boston's roster. However, the AHL All-Star will remain with Providence for now.

Riley Duran was making a case for himself to have a place in the Bruins' bottom six. However, he has now also been sent back down to the Baby B's. The 22-year-old appeared in 11 games last season for Providence, recording two goals and four points.
