Ravens to start QB Tyler Huntley again vs. Steelers - National Football Post

With injuries piling up at the quarterback position, the Cleveland Browns are turning to a familiar face to stabilize their camp roster. According to multiple sources, the Browns are signing quarterback Tyler “Snoop” Huntley, who spent part of last season with the team.

The move comes amid a wave of injury concerns in the quarterback room:

  • Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel are both nursing hamstring injuries

  • Shedeur Sanders is reportedly dealing with a sore throwing shoulder

  • Only one fully healthy QB remains on the roster

Enter Huntley — a versatile, mobile quarterback who brings both experience and a deep understanding of the Browns' system.

Huntley, 27, spent four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens and parts of last year with Cleveland. While he’s never been a full-time starter, he has earned a reputation for stepping in during tough situations and keeping his teams competitive. His ability to extend plays, read defenses, and operate in a dual-threat role makes him a valuable insurance option while the Browns weather this injury wave.

“You don’t bring in Snoop Huntley unless you’re serious about keeping the wheels turning,” a team insider told reporters.
“He’s not flashy — but he’s steady, and right now that’s what they need.”

With training camp entering a critical stretch and preseason games looming, the Browns are hoping Huntley can take reps, lead drills, and potentially keep the offense afloat until their top options are back at full strength.

While it remains unclear how long Pickett, Gabriel, or Sanders will be sidelined, Huntley’s arrival signals one thing: Cleveland is not leaving anything to chance.
