Just 30 minutes ago, Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie made a monumental announcement that has fans across Philly soaring with excitement.
Lurie officially introduced the “Eagles Legends Unity Program,” a groundbreaking initiative that will bring back franchise greats to serve as mentors, motivators, and emotional leaders for the current team as they gear up for the 2025 NFL season.
🗣️ “The Philadelphia Eagles are more than a team — we’re a brotherhood built on legacy, resilience, and passion,” Lurie said. “Our legends helped create that identity, and now it’s time for them to help carry it forward.”
The program is set to feature legendary Birds such as Brian Dawkins, Donovan McNabb, Jason Peters, Brent Celek, DeSean Jackson, LeSean McCoy, and more, making appearances throughout training camp and the regular season. Their role? To instill the Philly mentality in the younger generation and remind everyone of what it means to wear midnight green.
With a talented but evolving roster and a fanbase hungry for another deep postseason run, Lurie’s vision is clear: rebuild culture through connection to greatness.
🔥 Eagles Nation is already calling this one of the boldest leadership moves of the offseason — and a fitting reminder that the Eagles never fly alone.
