Here's an update on Brennan Othmann's upper-body injury.
Brennan Othmann will be out with an upper-body injury for a little while longer.
At the end of October, Othmann suffered an upper-body injury that was originally supposed to keep him out for 4-6 weeks.
Now, Mollie Walker of The New York Post is reporting that Othmann will likely be sidelined until around Christmas time, extending his original expected return date.
Coming off of a year where Othmann played 67 games where he recorded 21 goals, 28 assists and 49 points for the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League, he was expected to build off of that success.
The 21-year-old had an opportunity to make the New York Rangers’ opening night roster out of training camp as he played in a handful of preseason games, but the organization felt it was best for the young forward to continue his development in the AHL.
However, Othmann played just three games with the Wolf Pack this season before getting hurt.
