Teddy Magic, a fan favourite on Britain's Got Talent, will be missing from this weekend's live semi-finals, ITV has confirmed. As the series prepares for another exciting semi-final on Saturday (May 3), viewers will be disappointed to learn that the eight-year-old magician won't be taking the stage this time around.

Last Saturday's live semi-final kicked off with high expectations for Teddy Magic's performance. However, things didn't go quite as planned.Host Ant McPartlin explained that Teddy wasn't quite ready backstage, prompting a quick change of plans. "We’re just going to chat to you judges for a bit while Teddy gets himself ready," he said, with Declan Donnelly adding, "We've had a little change of plan."

Ant reassured the audience that Teddy simply needed more time to prepare, while Simon Cowell, curious about the delay, was told not to worry as it was nothing serious. "It's fine, it's fine. If he's not ready, he's not ready," Simon agreed, showing understanding, reports Belfast Live.

By the end of the episode, it was confirmed that Teddy wouldn't perform that night, with Dec saying, "He won't be performing tonight, but we hope to see him later in the series."

Fans were left hoping that Teddy would appear in a future semi-final, but this weekend’s line-up has already been revealed, and unfortunately, Teddy’s act won't be part of it, according to the Mirror.

Instead, viewers can look forward to performances from magician Alexandra Burgio, dance group Cheer re Mans, magician and dancer Jannick Holste, vocalist John Pierce, dancers Lil M's, guitarist Olly Pearson, singer Stacey Leadbeatter, and impressionist Will Burns.

Concerns grew for Teddy after he was missing from the previous week's show, with fans rapidly turning to social media to share their support. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter

A worried viewer said: "I hope little Teddy was ok. I think children should only be able to apply age 11+. An adult performer would be nervous and overwhelmed in a live show never mind an 8 yr old child. #BGT."

While another commented: "I feel so sorry for Teddy magic I wish he performed."

Another individual reached out: "@antanddec @BGT is Teddy magic ok? Hope he's doing ok as it's a huge night for a little lad and hope to see him in the live shows soon #BGT".

One more questioned the lack of information: "#bgt @BGT what happened to Teddy Magic? He is okay? ! ! Bit awful of @bgt not to provide any news or reassurance."

Expressing disappointment, another tweet read: "I'm gutted about #Teddy not performing tonight in @BGT. I really hope he's okay!".

Sources hint that an unforeseen issue with the act led the Britain's Got Talent team to delay Teddy's act, with hopes of his appearance in one of the forthcoming live semi-finals.
