Britain's Got Talent viewers fume as 'perfect' act misses out on golden buzzer

Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden were back on television screens this weekend as more wild and wacky Britain's Got Talent acts took to the stage

Britain's Got Talent fans have been left scratching their heads as the judges failed to press the golden buzzer for one act despite their "perfect" audition.

Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden were back behind the judges' desk on Saturday (March 29) as the latest bunch of hopefuls took to the stage in a bid to win the £100,000 prize fund as well as a spot on the Royal Variety Performance later this year.

Magic act Eden Choi blew everyone away with his incredible performance with Amanda even saying it was the "most perfect audition".

The performer displayed his incredible talent by making cards rapidly appear from nowhere and producing a ping pong ball from nowhere before changing the colour back and forth.

He made cards levitate and crushed them without even touching them leaving Ant McPartlin saying: "How's he doing that?". At the end of his act, the judges offered their verdict and the famous foursome were full of praise.

Alesha declared she had "never seen anything like this before" and Bruno said Eden's act was on "another level". However, none of the judges gave him their golden buzzer, which means an act automatically goes through to the live semi-finals.

Viewers at home were left unimpressed with their decision and took to social media to voice their frustration. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "He deserved a golden buzzer #BGT."

Another added: "He deserved a golden buzzer! The best act of the series so far in my opinion. #BGT." A third person agreed: "I can see Eden in the semi-finals after that. Suprised he didn't get the golden buzzer, though. #BGT."

It comes after Simon mysterious vanished mid-episode last week and was replaced by guest judge KSI.

Presenting duo Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly confirmed the temporary shake-up, welcoming the YouTube sensation to the venue as he received wild applause from the crowd.

They explained at the time: "Unfortunately, Simon can't be with us today, so we have a very special guest judge, KSI."

It has since been confirmed that Simon, 65, was absent from filming at the time because of the death of One Direction star Liam Payne, who died in October last year aged 31.

Liam was mentored by Simon on The X Factor in 2010 before signing to his record label. The pair first met when the singer was 14.
