Single looks good on Brittany Cartwright!
Prior to officially filing for divorce from Jax Taylor, 45, on Tuesday, Aug. 27, the “Vanderpump Rules” alum, 35, took to Instagram to share own version of the “revenge dress.”
Following in the footsteps of fellow “VPR” star Ariana Madix, who wore a red cutout creation after boyfriend Tom Sandoval’s cheating scandal, Cartwright posed in a form-fitting Micas midi ($45 $42) and served up a pointed caption.
Brittany Cartwright recently took to Instagram to share her own version of the revenge dress amid her split from Jax Taylor.
The “Vanderpump Rules” alum posed in a cutout green midi prior to filing for divorce, captioning the post “Out with the old, in with the new.”
The dress, which also featured fringe details on the bottom, is from the brand Micas.
The piece featured cutouts above the bust and fringe details at the bottom, which Cartwright showed off in two different photos, placing her hands on her hips.
“Out with the old, in with the new. 💚” she wrote.
While the reality star went equally bold with her glam, rocking a curly updo and dark, dramatic makeup, she noticeably ditched her wedding ring for the sultry shots.
“🫡 dayum,” fellow “The Valley” star Kristen Doute commented underneath the post, while Scheana Shay added multiple fire emojis.
“Beautiful Brittany, we are all rooting for you 😍🔥🔥” another encouraging comment read, echoing many others that praised Cartwright’s good looks.
“Brittany you are an absolute STUNNING WOMAN!!! You’re on fire🔥and so gracious, you deserve so much!! SAY GOLD BEAUTIFUL”
Cartwright officially filed for divorce from husband Jax Taylor on Tuesday. She’s was seen, pictured here, grabbing dinner with friends in Los Angeles.
The mom of one then posted this selfie on Instagram, declaring that she is getting her “shine back.”
Although some felt the need to criticize the outfit, claiming that Cartwright’s dress was “not flattering,” others quickly came to her defense.
“Idk what picture yall haters are seeing, she looks freaking amazing and this dress is killer on her amazing body😍😍💚💚”
Additional comments pointed out Cartwright’s ringless finger, which foreshadowed the official divorce news to come.
“So, meaning out with Jax?” someone asked. “Considering no ring on.. bummer.. really hoping for you both to make it!”
The couple tied the knot in 2019 and welcomed their son, Cruz, in 2021. Cartwright and Taylor announced their separation in February 2024, sharing the news on their podcast, “When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany.”
“Yes, marriages in general are very hard and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year,” Cartwright noted at the time. “Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”
Cartwright and Taylor were married in 2019.
The couple share three-year-old son Cruz.
“The Valley” stars separated in February 2024 after the revealed issues in their marriage on the Bravo show.
She later gave even more insight into the split during the Season 1 finale of “The Valley.”
“He was going out to the bar and stuff, coming home and having these horrible hangovers that would make him mean as a f–king snake,” she revealed during the episode, which aired in June.
“Finally, after he’s already been screaming at me for hours … I packed me and Cruz up, and we got the hell out of that house.”
Thankfully, it seems like Cartwright is thoroughly enjoying the single life. On Tuesday, she took to Instagram once again, posting a photo of herself rocking long golden waves and a tight pink, ribbed ensemble.
“Getting my sparkle back. ✨” she wrote on the post.
