Bruins' David Pastrnak Has Gigantic Goal This Season

Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak has one major goal for the 2024-25 season.

It might be hard to believe, but Boston Bruins superstar David Pastrnak is set to play in his 11th NHL season in 2024-25. It feels like yesterday that the 2014 first-round pick got called up to the Bruins' roster as a teenager and made an immediate impact.

Since then, Pastrnak has put together an excellent career and only seems to be getting better. During this past season, the 6-foot-1 winger had 47 goals and 110 points in 82 games. In addition, he set a new career-high with 63 assists.

When reporters asked Pastrnak what his main goal for the 2024-25 season is, he said, "I want to win the Cup."

It is easy to understand why Pastrnak finally wants to win the Stanley Cup for the first time in his career. The Bruins have consistently been one of the NHL's top teams over the last several seasons but have not won the Stanley Cup since 2011. They also memorably lost Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final at home in 2019 and failed to lift it after their historic 65-win season in 2022-23.

However, the new season offers a clean slate, and it will be interesting to see if Pastrnak and the Bruins can get it done this year.
