The Boston Bruins are getting great contributions from recently called up forward Matthew Poitras. The 20-year-old forward has been red-hot as of late, posting four assists over his last three games.
With the Bruins struggling this season, it would not hurt for them to see what some of their other prospects can do. Thus, let's look at three prospects who are knocking on the door for a call-up.
Georgii Merkulov
Georgii Merkulov is undoubtedly making a case for another recall. The 24-year-old forward is thriving this season with Providence, posting 11 goals and 39 points in 40 games. He also has an impressive 12 points over his last 10 games.

Michael DiPietro
What a season it has been for Michael DiPietro. The 25-year-old goaltender is dominating with Providence, as he has a 16-5-4 record, a .932 save percentage, and an AHL-best 1.91 goals-against average. At some point, Boston has to give the 2017 third-round pick a start with the NHL squad if he keeps this excellent play up, right?

Fabian Lysell
Fabian Lysell made his NHL debut against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Dec. 28 but was immediately sent back down to Providence. The 2021 first-round pick has done well with Providence this season, recording eight goals and 25 points in 36 games. He also has seven points in his last eight games. If he keeps this up, another recall could be in his future.
