Bruins Top Prospect Has Perfect Mindset

This Bruins prospect should become a fan favorite when he eventually jumps to the NHL.

Last month, the Boston Bruins selected Dean Letourneau with the 25th overall pick of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. With this move, the Bruins have added an intriguing 6-foot-7 center with impressive offensive skill and is known as being a "heavy hitter," according to Elite Prospects.

Letourneau's play with St. Andrew's College was sensational last year. In 56 games with the school, the 18-year-old posted 61 goals and 127 points. He will look to translate some of that offense to the NCAA level next season with Boston College.

While Letourneau's skill and size are certainly reasons for Bruins forwards to be excited about him, his mentality should also provide plenty of optimism.

In a recent appearance on the Drop The Mitts podcast, Letourneau discussed what Boston College fans should expect from him, and Bruins management should certainly love his answer.

Here's what Letourneau said on the matter: "They can expect a guy coming in that wants to win. I am going to do everything I can to win.”

With the Bruins possessing a winning culture, Letourneau should become a fan favorite with this mindset. The Bruins need hard-working, skilled forwards, and there is certainly a chance that Letourneau will become that for them later down the road.

It will be interesting to see what kind of season he puts together for BC in 2024-25.
