Brynn Whitfield has responded to chatter that she's leaving the Real Housewives of New York City after two seasons.
A statement purported to be from the 38-year-old Bravo personality has been circulating online, and claims that she plans to exit the series.
But Brynn tried put the rumor to rest on Thursday, claimed to her 562,000 followers that the note 'was an AI post.'
Per Collider, the allegedly fake note reads, in part, 'After two incredible seasons, I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from The Real Housewives of New York.
'This journey has been one of the most rewarding, wild, and unforgettable experiences of my life, and I’m so grateful to Bravo, the crew, my castmates, and the fans who’ve supported me along the way.
'Sometimes you know when it’s time for a new chapter, and for me, that time is now. I’m excited to focus on my personal growth, new opportunities, and maybe even a little less drama (just a little!),' it read.
The TV star's playful response included a clip of her in front of a green screen as she feigns a seamless string of expressions ranging from laughter to shock to sadness.
Someone behind the camera is heard giggling while watching Brynn's face change.
The post was captioned, 'My reaction when people ask if the [apple emoji] rumor on X is true.'
'That was an AI post! Fake news. I didn’t put out any statements while in St Barths lol,' she claimed, referencing her recent vacation.
A rebooted cast of the show's New York City franchise was announced in 2022.
Andy Cohen announced the six new ladies who would be taking over RHONY during the final night of BravoCon that year.
In addition to Whitfield, the other newcomers were Jenna Lyons, Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Jessel Taank and Erin Lichy.
Racquel Chevremont later joined the women for season 15, and the latest episode sees drama unfold when they travel to Puerto Rico.
Brynn is known for her drama-stirring antics on the series, and in the latest season has clashed with Rebecca Minkoff, who appears on the show as 'friend' versus a full-time cast member.
She was also branded a 'mean girl' by viewers after one scene showed her mocking Ubah's speech and accent.
'Brynn making fun of Ubah’s words, who’s first language isn’t English, is not the flex she thinks,' wrote one person on X.
'I really am shocked by how rotten Brynn is I feel so betrayed and manipulated for liking her last season like this girl is miserable lmao,' another weighed in.
And one social media user wrote, 'I kinda see why Brynn is single. She’s very immature even in her friendships. Major turnoff. “Fratboy” is kind of an accurate description of her.'
