Tuesday, June 24, 2025: Today on The Young and the Restless, Lily and Devon butt heads, Lauren, Michael, Abby and Chance arrive in France, and Victor fields a stunning offer.
In France, in the maze, Diane asks what Jack and Nikki are discussing. They’re wondering what’s going on with Victor and Cane. The guests hear voices and Michael, Lauren, Abby and Chance arrive. Lauren asks, “Did we miss anything?” Nikki says, “Did you ever.”

Diane says Cane claims he will explain himself, but right now he’s having a private conversation with Victor. Billy worries Victor could be causing a problem that will see them all sent home. Jack says Cane can hold his own. Lauren and Abby marvel that Lily must be reeling. Nikki says she was blindsided… the only person not completely taken by surprise was Victor.
Nikki’s surprised that Michael and Lauren came, given that the attorney no longer works for Victor. Diane scoffs that Victor doesn’t control everyone. Michael says they got a call from Dumas, who wouldn’t take “no” for an answer. It’s even stranger now that they know it’s Cane. Nikki wonders what he wants with the two of them… and Chance. “This could be the most curious development of all.”
Devon Wants Lily to Leave
In the train car, Devon doesn’t want Lily sticking around to spend more time with Cane… he’s lied to her! Lily rants about him leading a double life and also lying to the kids. Devon and Damian assure her she couldn’t have known. Lily needs to know how and why he decided to do this. She wants answers from Cane, and feels that if she leaves, she’ll never know the truth. Devon asks what she could hear that she’d believe. How can she trust anything he’d say?!
Lily and Devon continue arguing about her wanting to talk to Cane. Devon argues that Cane wants to influence her and will leave out all the sketchy things he’s done. Lily snarks at him for thinking she’d fall for it. Damian asks Devon to give his sister some credit. Devon insists he is… but Cane was the love of her life. Lily doesn’t have those feelings anymore. Devon’s sure that part of his intention is to reconcile with her.
Lily doesn’t know what Cane wants, but he invited them there for a reason. It’s not possible for him to win her back… too much has happened. Devon thinks it’s a bad idea to stick around and give him false hope. Lily sees that. Devon asks, “Can we leave?” Damian warns her ex doesn’t take “no” for an answer. Lily asks him if he has any idea how Cane acquired his wealth. Damian has no idea. He never even mentioned his name until he met her family. He finds all of this disturbing… how does someone lead two lives for six years?
Cane Surprises Victor
On a bench by a water feature in the maze, Cane isn’t happy about being turned down by Victor. He tells him his offer is more lucrative than he realizes. Victor invites him to put his cards on the table and stop wasting his time. Cane reminds him he wanted the companies and properties under Arabesque… they’re his for the taking in exchange for Chancellor. The value goes well beyond that of Chancellor… it’s a good deal for Victor. Surprised, Victor can’t understand why Cane would take such a loss. Cane says Dumas owns those entities and he wants to return to Genoa City as Cane and a life of normalcy. Victor reminds him he hurt Lily, who was the daughter of his friend Neil, and says he doesn’t want him back in town. “Who’s going to trust you?”
Victor suggests Cane take his newly found riches and stay away from Genoa City. Cane knows it won’t be easy to win back trust, but he’ll find a way to make it up to everyone. Victor reminds him that he once pretended to be dead. Cane’s up for the challenge. Victor tells him Chancellor’s not for sale. Cane says everyone has a price… even Victor. The Mustache tells him to go after some other company. “Why don’t you go after Jabot?” If he did that, he’d have his support.
Cane chuckles. It’s nice to see some things haven’t changed in Genoa City. He tells Victor that Jack wouldn’t sell his family company and he won’t be pursuing Jabot. What he wants is Chancellor. “Name your price and I’ll pay it.” Victor intones that Chancellor’s not for sell. “Ain’t gonna happen. End of conversation.” With that, he walks away. Cane smirks to himself, “OK.”
In the maze, Chance and Abby talk about Dom feeling better. Billy didn’t expect to see Chance there and thinks it’s part of Cane wanting Chancellor. Chance can’t understand what he’d want from either of them. Billy’s hoping to find out. Victor rejoins the others in the maze and Abby greets him. Victor questions Michael and Lauren being there. Michael says Cane insisted they come, he’s not sure why. Victor asks Nikki and Nick to come with him into the maze for a private conversation.
Cane Wants Lily
In the train car, Devon tells Lily that she doesn’t owe Cane anything. He wants to find Carter and get him to put them on the first flight out. Lily, exasperated, still wants answers. She points out that Abby’s still coming and they can’t abandon her. She wants the night to think about it and will give him an answer in the morning. Damian is willing to help Lily, whatever she needs. He assures her they’ll get through this next part. “You’re tough.” She feels off balance. He urges her to take her time… he’ll pack his bags as soon as she gives the words. She jokes with him, and he tells her she’ll be fine. They establish that they’re friends and there for each other. Damian’s there if she wants to leave or needs somebody to talk to. Suddenly, someone clears their throat and interrupts their close moment… it’s Cane.
Cane tells Devon it’s nice to see him again. Devon doesn’t feel the same way. This is all under-handed. Cane points out they wouldn’t have come if he’d revealed who he was ahead of time. Cane holds out his hand to Damian… it’s nice to meet him in person. Damian doesn’t shake his hand and complains he inadvertently played a role in his deceit. Cane wants to speak with Lily privately. Damian and Devon protest, but Lily insists, so they leave the train car.
Cane tells Lily it’s wonderful to see her. She says the feeling is not mutual. He knows he’s given her a lot to process tonight. He realizes she needs to sleep… they can try again tomorrow. She doesn’t know if she’ll be there tomorrow. Cane has plans to share with her. Lily asks why he couldn’t share them over the last six years. She informs him he’s not calling the shots anymore. He led her there under false pretenses and now he wants to talk about his mysterious agenda. Cane complains about her making assumptions. He deserves this, but there is more to the story. When she’s ready, he’ll explain how it all involves her. Lily gawps, “Is this all his plan to get the two of us back together?!” Cane hasn’t given up on them. He can’t.
Lily tells Cane he’s delusional if he thinks there’s any hope for them. Cane reminds her they were in love and got married in France. She asks if that’s why he chose this location and tells him it’s not going to happen. She doesn’t want to talk anymore. He says fine, as long as she’ll still be there tomorrow. She will decide that. He makes eyes at her as he says, “Good night.” She storms off with a huff. Cane pours a drink.
Nikki’s Answer
In the maze, Victor tells Nick and Nikki that Cane claims he built his empire legitimately. He mended fences with Colin and was there when he died. They built this all legitimately and Cane assumed the alias. He questions if Cane has the toughness to build something like this. Nikki learns he wants Chancellor Industries and sighs, “So, you were right.” Nick snarls, “The nerve of this guy.” They’re stunned to learn he offered his entire business portfolio in return. “That’s not chump change,” Nick marvels. He says Cane’s not getting a damn thing from them. Victor asks what Nikki thinks about his offer.
Nick says Cane’s empire is worth a lot more than Chancellor. Nikki says it doesn’t have the name. Nick argues it would increase Newman’s reach and wealth. Nikki won’t give up Chancellor… Katherine wouldn’t want her to do that. Victor’s proud of her… that’s the answer he wanted to hear.
Cane Rejoins His Guests
In another part of the maze, Cane stands alone, sighs, and flashes back to Lily calling him out for lying this whole time and having a double life. He’s always been a liar. He looks pensive and then rejoins the others, greeting Lauren and Michael. He’s glad they decided to join them after all. Lauren says he was very insistent. Michael sarcastically toasts to his ingenuity in getting them all there. Cane says he’s turning over a new leaf and has plans. Michael wonders if he’s somehow a part of those plans. Cane will tell him later.
Cane walks over to Abby, who says she heard he put on quite the performance. She wants to see Devon. Cane says he’s in the train car. Jack and Billy want to know why they’re there. He says, “All in good time,” and then asks Chance for a word in private.
In the train car, Lily reads a note Cane left that says, “See you tomorrow.” She rips it up and throws it in the trash.
In the maze, Jack’s ready to call it a night, but Billy says he wants to stick around and see what Cane wanted with Chance. Sally’s sure they can get caught up on that in the morning. Jack thinks that Chance is the most curious addition to the guest list. Sally says Cane has an interest in Chancellor and Chance is a member of that family. Billy says, “Chance is also a cop.”
A Shocking Reveal
Elsewhere, Chance is curious about being invited. Cane hasn’t invited him there as a Chancellor, but instead a police detective. He needs his help. If he’s not mistaken, he suspects by the end of the week, someone will try to kill him.
