Carl Makes a Stunning Confession to a Producer About Lindsay: "Honestly, Print This…"

Hindsight was 20/20 for Carl Radke as he announced the launch of his new NYC concept bar on Summer House.

Summer House’s Carl Radke can admit when he’s wrong — even if it involves ex-fiancée Lindsay Hubbard.

On Summer House Season 9, Episode 6, Carl revealed that he was about to publicly announce his new company, Soft Bar, which he described as "a mindful consumption bar and cafe in Williamsburg, Brooklyn" that will serve "non-alcoholic drinks that are premium, more sophisticated, more elevated."

"There are always gonna be haters," he said in a confessional, before reminding viewers, "and, last summer, Lindsay had her feedback..."

ICYMI, Carl opened up during Summer House Season 8 about wanting to create a sober bar "to be a voice for things that I've been through and hopefully help other people." However, Lindsay quickly shot down the idea, telling her then-fiancé, "Sorry, I'm gonna have to say no to that one . . . I don't want that for our future family."

Though the criticism wasn't what Carl wanted to hear at the time, hindsight is 20/20.

"Honestly, print this: Thank you, Lindsay," he proclaimed in his more recent Summer House Season 9 confessional. "At the time that I told her that I wanted to start a bar, you know what? It was a bad idea. But, guess what? I went back to the table and I refined my idea."

Now, Carl "just can’t wait for people to come and actually try and sit down" at Soft Bar. And, yes, as he said, even "Lindsay's welcome, too."

A split of Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke.

Are Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard on good terms today?

Roughly a year after he called off their engagement, Carl reunited with Lindsay for the first time since the Season 8 reunion on the second episode of Summer House Season 9 — the day after she announced to the rest of the Hamptons crew that she was expecting her first baby with boyfriend Turner Kufe.

Carl eventually took the news in stride, though, and even attended and participated in Lindsay's baby sex reveal festivities in Episode 4.

"I had a friend tell me, he’s like, 'Dude, this is great closure,'" Carl said of Lindsay’s pregnancy, during a February 2025 Q&A with People magazine "And I agreed with that and it took me some time. But filming with her all summer, it actually was good and healthy to see her, and we were cordial, we were able to get along. I was happy for her, and for me, it was kind of like, 'Okay, she's moved on and she's happy and that's all that really matters.'

Is Carl Radke’s Soft Bar open now?

As Carl explained to Kyle Cooke on Episode 6, as of July 2024, he’d just trademarked the business name and was going to be making an official announcement in the coming weeks, which he did on July 30. "It's officially happening!" Carl declared in an Instagram Story last year.

Since then, he has shared several sneak peeks at Soft Bar’s progress, and according to the brand's website, they're planning to open in summer 2025 and will offer "premium functional coffee and non-alcoholic cocktails and lite bites curated from our neighborhood."
