Season nine of Summer House is in full swing, and everyone is looking for clues that may have hinted toward the breakup between Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo. Though he’s not an official cast member on that show, he does appear from time to time. Now, Carl Radke is opening up about filming with Craig over the summer and how he caused drama.Paige and Craig began dating in summer 2021. For many Bravoholics, they were a top-tier couple, and viewers often wondered when they’d take the next steps in their relationship. Sadly, it was announced in November of last year that they’d called it quits. Recently, Carl sat down for an interview with US Weekly, where they asked about filming season nine of Summer House. Specifically, they asked about Craig and his presence with the cast. Carl said, “The first thing I remember of Craig was he was loading our little mini fridge with non-alcoholic beer. And I was like, ‘Awesome, man. It’s great to see you again.'”He went on, “He’s like, ‘Yeah, I haven’t been drinking.’ I’m like, ‘Great.’ And in my head, I’m thinking, ‘I have another buddy now. I have another friend I can enjoy non-A beer with.'”From there, Carl admitted that he “didn’t pick up on a ton of stuff” between Craig and Paige. However, he did say, “You could tell that they were both faced with tough questions about the relationship. I think Paige and Craig were kind of in this, like, ‘OK, been together three years. What are we really doing?'”The Summer House star continued, “I think it revealed itself, and honestly, I give them a lot of credit for trying their best to work through it. But breaking up in the public eye is never easy.”
He then said that Craig didn’t support Paige when she was having issues with the cast as much as she would have supported him. According to Carl, “I know enough to know Paige did a lot to support Craig and vice versa. Paige really has helped him become a better version of himself and become a better man.”“There has been a lot of drama between the group and because of Craig’s things that Paige protected. But that caused friction for all of us. Paige has been kind of in the middle of some things because of Craig or Hannah [Berner] or whoever else,” Carl added.Notably, Carl said that Paige’s relationship with Craig got in the way of her friendship with Kyle Cooke. Regarding where they stand today, Carl revealed, “I think they’ve been cool as far as I know, but this whole text thing from the episode, I think, just has popped back up. I’m hoping they’re cool and can work through it because of everything that’s happened over the last six months with Paige and him and Craig.”When asked about Paige and Craig’s breakup, he explained, “I think in that scenario of him and Paige, the way she kind of announced it, it seemed like that was a kind of clean, obviously difficult situation. I feel like Craig got an opportunity to be a little more respectful at the beginning towards the situation. And it didn’t end up happening that way.”In the end, he discussed Paige’s friends rallying around her, and he added that he wasn’t there when the producers put the show back into production to document their breakup.
