Carolina Panthers lose Jordan Fuller to NFL South rival

The Carolina Panthers are losing Jordan Fuller to a rival foe. After the start of free agency, the veteran safety has signed a deal with the Atlanta Falcons, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The full terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed.

Fuller played four seasons and won a Super Bowl for the Los Angeles Rams before his one-and-done year in Carolina. He's reunited with Falcons head coach Raheem Morris, who was the Rams defensive coordinator before going to Atlanta last year.

Fuller missed six games due to injury last season. At the age of 27, he has 55 starts in the league with a career statline of 333 total tackles, five forced fumbles, seven interceptions, and 18 PDUs. One of the better physical defensive backs in the league over the past five seasons.

Atlanta puts Fuller in a better position with a coaching staff that got the most out of him early in his career. Whether he can replicate his success from being with Morris in LA will be the biggest question for him going into the season. The secondary isn't the 'most pressing' need for the Falcons going into next month's draft but it's an area of concern.
