Catching Up On The Biggest Saints News Of The Week

Super Bowl LIX is almost here.

The NFL season will be over following the conclusion of Sunday evening's Chiefs-Eagles game. From there, it's offseason mode for all 32 teams, with one winner getting to bask in all of the glory after months of intense work and dedication.

As we inch closer to a new season for the New Orleans Saints, let's get you caught up on some of the biggest news from the past week.

Coaching Updates

Kellen Moore is still the favorite to become the next Saints head coach. Who he might bring with him will be something to pay close attention to. Brandon Staley, Doug Nussmeier and George Edwards are names to watch in addition to his brother. You can check out our look at him here.

The Saints lost four more assistants this week, as Joe Woods goes to the Las Vegas Raiders and Derrick Foster heads to the Dallas Cowboys. Andrew Janocko and John Benton followed Klint Kubiak to the Seattle Seahawks.

We should probably expect New Orleans to have a new coach in place before next weekend.

New Orleans Saints News

Mock draft picks this week included Shemar Stewart (Athlon), Tetairoa McMillan (ESPN), and my personal pick was Ashton Jeanty. Here's why.

Bub Means said that he's fully cleared from his ankle injury and is focused on his offseason and second season.

Cam Jordan came up short on the Walter Payton Man of the Year, but still did plenty off the field that should be appreciated. Jahri Evans didn't get in, sadly, but Eric Allen ended up making it.

Demario Davis said he wants to play three more years in the league and is wanting to help get New Orleans to a Super Bowl, going out on top.

Chris Olave said that he's 100% from his concussion scares with no side effects.

Saints legend Marques Colston voiced his opinion on who should be the next head coach in New Orleans.

Paulson Adebo posted a video of him running full speed on the treadmill, signaling that he's getting closer to returning to the field.

Bob Rose looked at potential quarterback options for the upcoming draft. While it might not be the strongest class, there are some options that fit the Saints.

Commissioner Roger Goodell came out and said that he's confident the Saints only played a supportive role in the Catholic church scandal.

We looked at the Top 10 salary cap hits for the Saints last week. New Orleans has their work cut out for them, but it's not as much as they've had in previous years.

Here's key dates for the Saints in the month of February so you know what's coming.
