The comedian and his former professional dance partner were announced as the winners of the hit dance show's 2024 series back in December
Chris McCausland left fans in tears with his emotional reunion with Dianne Buswell this week, where he made an admission about his Strictly Come Dancing experience live on stage.
The comedian and his former professional dance partner were announced as the winners of the hit dance show's 2024 series back in December in emotional scenes.
They emerged victorious, having faced competition from fellow finalists Miranda actress Sarah Hadland and partner Vito Coppola, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and dancer Aljaz Skorjanec and JLS singer JB Gill and partner Lauren Oakley to lift the famous Glitterball trophy.
Following the end of the show's 2024 run, the emotional new friends went their separate ways as Chris couldn't sign up to the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour due to his commitments with his own stand-up show, Yonks!
While Chris and Dianne continue to be in each other's company virtually thanks to their joint podcast, Winning Isn't Everything, the pair had only been together in person once since winning Strictly - until earlier this week.
As Dianne tours the country in her own joint-headline show with Strictly pal Vito Coppola, she managed to squeeze in an a reunion with Chris as he made a surprise appearance on stage.

Dianne was heard telling the audience: "Tonight, I have the honour of having someone very, very, very special here and I'm going to go grab him now. and I think you're all going to know him very well..." before she popped to the side of stage and guided Chris out onto the stage.
He then told the audience himself: "So, I said 'no' to doing Strictly a few times because it was terrifying. I didn't really know what I was being asked to do. But doing it with this one here, the most remarkable thing I've ever done, you know."
Alongside the emotional video, Dianne wrote to her followers: "Last night was so special ! Having Chris side of stage made me very emotional. I’m so grateful for the friendship and for just everything that this wonderful man taught me.
"We speak every week on the podcast together but this was the second time we seen each other in the flesh since strictly." She then confirmed their Strictly return.
As is tradition, the previous series' winners return for a performance during the launch of the next series. Ending her post, Dianne asked: "The question is what dance do you want to see us do again for that launch show?"
