“I think I’m way too boring. I don’t know if I’m too nice. I really think I would wear everything on my sleeve. I think I would blurt out all the time … I don’t know if I would put on the whole pretense of ‘there’s no cameras.’ I don’t know. I don’t know, she said. “I feel like, fundamentally, I can be pretty quiet and reserved in my own skin. But it would be really fun to play a character on a reality show.” But Anna, as we’ve seen with Jennifer Tilly, sometimes all it takes is being IN the scene for your true colors to come out.
What Anna Faris Could Bring to 'RHOBH'
While we shouldn't be surprised that Anna Faris has the same guilty pleasure as we civilians, the biggest shock from her chat with US Weekly is that she didn't think she had the personality to fit in with the ladies of the 90210. She revealed, "That’s like going to graduate school when you’re a freshman.” But when it comes to being a superstar comedian, Anna Faris has it on lock. After becoming the face of the Scary Movie franchise, Anna Faris has delivered non-stop comedic hits. From The Hot Chick to her starring role on the sitcom Mom, we've come to learn that fans adore the actress we see on screen. But reality TV is a completely different beast. Her trepidation makes sense.
Jennifer Tilly has noted in the past that she felt like a viewer who was witnessing the show in real time once she appeared on the show. While she was her true authentic self to start, she eventually found her Housewives moment, only for her to really stir up some trouble by the season’s final episode. Anna Faris, who is one of the funniest humans on the planet, might fall into the fray once she’s sitting alongside the likes of Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, and Erika Jayne. Well, or whoever gets the call for next season.
While Anna Faris may be playing coy, the prospect of her on our screens in that capacity is simply too juicy. Anna Faris could bring that same great unexpected energy that Jennifer Tilly brought to Season 14. To be fair, we loved hearing Tilly share the tea behind her divorce and Simpson’s money; Anna Faris certainly must have stories about her ex, Chris Pratt! If RHOBH doesn’t work out, she noted that she is also a fan of Below Deck. Certainly, a charter with Captain Kerry Titheradge, Captain Sandy Yawn, or Captain Jason Chambers is more of a practical reality. She wouldn’t be a demanding charter guest, right?
How Jennifer Tilly Brought New Life to 'RHOBH'
Though Jennifer Tilly has received some mixed reviews for her role as a "Friend of" on Season 14, the Oscar winner certainly brought a newfound energy to the waning group. Having a household name certainly amped up RHOBH when Jennifer Tilly joined the show. The Real Housewives is known for extravagance, and Jennifer Tilly brought that into every scene she was in. She was not shy about her expensive taste, even earning a bit of jealousy from the ladies. T'was classic seeing the envious Erika Jayne pine over Tilly's Louis Vuitton boat bag.
Though she's certainly not the first Hollywood starlet to appear as a Housewife, bringing in other actresses into this franchise just makes sense. We've had Kyle Richards from the start. Garcelle Beauvais' illustrious career was highlighted when she joined the cast. Of course, there was Denise Richards and the opera divas Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson. But no one has been at quite the notoriety that Jennifer Tilly had. So color us interested to what an Anna Faris type might bring to the show. With so many question marks regarding how Season 15 might feel, a major bombshell addition could reset the fears and bring on the intrigue.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is available to stream on Peacock.
