FRISCO - The star power in Monday night's showdown between the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals received a boost Saturday when both teams made key decisions about injured receivers.
The Cowboys will have CeeDee Lamb, who has been nursing a shoulder injury for the past few weeks. The Bengals, meanwhile, announced that they are expect Ja'Marr Chase to also play. Chase, who has been limited by a sprained ankle, is now off the injury list and good to go for the 7:15 p.m. kickoff at A&T Stadium.
The Bengals will, however, be without a key offensive player as starting left tackle Orlando Brown has been ruled out with a leg injury.
Lamb leads the Cowboys with 79 catches, 880 yards and four touchdowns while Chase tops the Bengals' offense with 79 catches for 1,142 yards and a league-leading 13 touchdowns.
The teams enter the game enduring similarly disappointing seasons. Despite quarterback Joe Burrow having an MVP-caliber performance, the Bengals come in 4-8 mainly because of one of the NFL's most porous pass defenses.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, have won consecutive game to improve to 5-7 and at least enter the fringes of the NFC Wild Card discussion as "in the hunt. Dallas faces three consecutive games against opponents with non-winning records.
The Cowboys and backup-turned-starting quarterback Cooper Rush need all the offensive help they can get and the addition of a healthy Lamb will certainly help that cause.
