Current Colts players who should show up in Ultimate Team mode in the College Football 25 video game

If you are like me, you've been counting down the days until the college football video game series returns. The wait is officially almost over, with the release date set for July 19th.

During the nearly ten-year hiatus, there were multiple talented college players who, sadly, we were not able to use in the college football series, such as Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley, and DeVonta Smith.

With the game's release around the corner, let's discuss the top Indianapolis Colts players that I'm hoping to see get cards in the Ultimate Team mode in EA SPorts' College Football 25.

Anthony Richardson, QB

This one is pretty obvious. Having a dynamic athlete at QB feels like a literal cheat code in video games. And Anthony Richardson is one of best athletes we've ever seen at the position. I think he would have been a major reason Florida was heavily used in the game.

Even though he didn't start a full season till his last year, I have a hunch many players would have loved using Richardson all throughout his career, because his speed attributes would have always been high to allow them to develop the rest of his game. So it's only right they add him into the game now using the Ultimate Team mode.

Jonathan Taylor, RB

Jonathan Taylor was nothing less than fantastic during his career at Wisconsin with him rushing for 6,174 yards and 50 touchdowns during his three year college career. His balance of speed and power would have been incredible to use in the college football game.

So when I'm looking at some of the best RBs that missed their chance to be in the college football game I think Taylor has to be near the top of the list. I would guenuallly be shocked if they choose not to give him a card in Ultimate Team mode pretty early on in the process.

Jelani Woods, TE

Like Richardson, Jelani Woods is an incredible athlete. His elite size at 6'7" paired with his next level speed at the TE position would have made him unbeliveable to use in the game.

He isn't as notable of a name as the other players on this list so I'd say he has the lowest chance of gaining a card in Ultimate Team mode. But if he becomes available I think his skill set would have many players quickly adding him to their rosters.

Laiatu Latu, Edge

I think we will see members from the 2024 NFL Draft class inputed into Ultimate Team mode pretty quickly after the games launch. These players just missed out on appearing in the game and their connection to the college football scene is still very fresh on fans minds.

The Colts drafted Laiatu Latu as the first defender in the 2024 NFL Draft with the 15th pick in the first round. Over the last two seasons at UCLA Latu has been one of the most productive edge rushers in all of college football, which makes me think its safe to assume he would have been one of the highest rated defensive players on the game.
