Dolores Catania Opens Up About Aging: "Our Generation is Not Educated..."

Dolores Catania knows a thing or two about maintaining a beauty routine. The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom of two isn't afraid to talk about her skincare routine and the procedures that she's gotten, and she isn't afraid to talk about aging, either.

Dolores spoke with The Daily Dish, where she opened up about how she "suffered for two years" from menopause. "Our generation is not educated on what to expect when this time of life comes and it spills into your personal life," she shared in the November interview. "You get hot flashes, anxiety, the change of lifestyle, tired, your quality of life, weight gain in your stomach. Quality of life goes to s--t and they won't teach it in medical school, so most doctors will brush you off because it was for women. Like, because it was a female thing, right?"

How aging has inspired Dolores Catania to help others

Dolores continued, noting that this lack of care has inspired her to help other women who are struggling. And by working with New Beauty Magazine, Dolores revealed that she has been able to reach many women. "You heard about Viagra, right? But do you ever hear about women having issues? We all knew that there was a pill for men who went through things, but there was very little talked about for women," she admitted. "And so many women, especially the demographics of women that follow me, are suffering, and I work with a lot of breast cancer patients who can't take hormones for the relief of the symptoms."

"So right now, my goal is to find something that will help with those symptoms, if you're not a candidate for the hormones that I finally conceded to taking that I didn't wanna take," she added.

"I mean, I spoke the other day at a woman's event...And there was a meet and greet after and women, a lot of moms and daughters, they came up to me, 'Thank you for talking about it,' and the daughters would be like, 'My mom really needs help. Like, bad,'" she noted. "Memory loss, you name it. Skin, your skin changes. I learned that from New Beauty Magazine."

Dolores Catania opens up her current beauty routine changed things for her

Dolores told The Daily Dish in November that she is "obsessed with beauty products" after putting more attention into her skincare routine. She revealed that her skin is now on "another level" after she had previously just used makeup wipes. "I was lucky if I even did that, like, washed my face," she admitted.

"But once I started getting into the skincare regimen, I got very excited," she continued. "People probably thought I used more products than I did, but I didn't. So, I started reading about it, and then it became kinda fun to me. And I've seen a change in that."
