Season 29 “Dancing with the Stars” alum Chrishell Stause is hoping to start a family with her partner, musician G. Flip. In a new interview, she shared an update on how things are progressing.
Stause could not share specific details, but she indicated the couple is pursuing adoption. She shared that while it has been a “bumpy” road, she is feeling very good about where they are in adding a child to their family.
Chrishell Stause Feels They Are ‘on the Upswing’ Now
On March 12, Us Weekly shared the latest update from Stause. She admitted, “Well, it’s been a bumpy road.”
Stause explained, “We’ve kept the details a little under wraps, just because I don’t think it helps anybody to go into all the details.”
The “Selling Sunset” star added, “But I’ll just say to anyone that understands this [adoption] process — there are just a lot of different roadblocks, and so we do feel like we’re on the upswing.”
While Stause did not share specifics, she did tell Us Weekly, “We are feeling really positive about where we’re at currently.”
“I will tell you this — nobody will be happier to report good news than me when it’s that time. So, until then, I just really feel like everything happens for a reason,” Stause shared.
She also told the media outlet, “We are actively hoping to have good news one day where I can’t, I won’t have to be quiet about it. And I’ll be the first person to actively tell you the good news.”
Until then, Stause added, “I will just say: yeah, we’re trying, we’re being positive, and hopefully we’ll have good news at some point that I can’t wait to tell you.”
The DWTS Alum Previously Pursued Carrying a Baby
On February 21, Stause appeared on “The Viall Files” and shared some additional insight. She explained they had been working toward having a child for a while, but it had not been easy.
Stause said they went through trying to have a sperm donor and have her carry a pregnancy, but things were not falling into place. During the podcast, Stause did not talk specifically about pursuing adoption.
She did indicate that she was working on accepting that things might look different than what she earlier envisioned. Stause noted her confidence that things will ultimately work out. While she dreams of being a mother, she shared that she knows she and G Flip will be good together no matter what else happens.
